This place is great! It’s not divvy at all and you have the most comfortable bed you’ve ever laid in ! The price is very affordable. When you book, book right through them. Travelocity and the other sites seem to be affordable, but then I found out I could’ve saved a couple hundred dollars by just going straight through with them. They offer free laundry and free Tide boxes, free breakfast, coffee in the room with a coffee maker and a mini fridge. There’s also chairs outside of your door so that you can sit outside, two pools, and very clean rooms. If you want to pay for a bike while you’re in Key West, you can get one right at the hotel in the small lobby. It was amazing!

In the past, we had always stayed on the Gulf end of Key West. This trip, for many reasons, we decided to stay near the Atlantic, and Southwinds was our choice. We could not have been more pleased with our week here. From the moment we stepped onto the property, we were treated with kindness and respect (thank you to the wonderful women in the front office!). The room, to be fair, could stand some new furniture, but, what it lacked in the furniture department was more than made up for with quiet and location. You're a block off the quieter end of Duval and a block from the Atlantic Ocean! There are two spotless pools, a grab and go breakfast, and 24 hour a day desk folks who are more than willing to help you with anything you need. We highly recommend Southwinds and plan to stay here on future trips to Key West.

Convenient Location!!! The armoire and bathroom vanity in Room 1 are in need of replacement, literally falling apart. Staff, especially Carol, were responsive to our pest issue and very helpful with bike rentals, Thank you! The contental breakfast, pre-packaged muffins/pastries were gummy, the chickens wouldn't eat them, LOL! The food truck at The Blue Marlin Motel across the street that sells breakfast, as well as two small stores on the corner that sell breakfast and the other, great sandwiches for lunch. Maybe adding a toaster with bread would be more appealing for guests? Coffee and oranges were a plus. The Tipsy Rooster was a nice little bar/liquor store, we found CVS to be a cheaper option for buying beer/wine. The music was very loud, we were in room 1, if you are a light sleeper avoid 1,2,3,or 4 or up front rooms by the check-in office, the music plays until the bar closes. Overall this is an okay place to stay, nothing fancy but VERY Convenient to everything on Duval, beach, Pier restaurants and a short bike ride to take the boat to Sunset Key for Lunch or Dinner.

Terrific place! Rooms are spotless w/fridge, micro & coffee. Dedicated parking and bar out front. We could walk to almost everything and if it wasn't walking distance staff had a cab waiting.

This place is clean, great location, awesome nightly music, has beach access, friendly staff, laundry if needed, breakfast, and cute bar! We will be staying here from now on. We are so glad we discovered this affordable hidden gem!
