Single-bed rooms (King or Queen) have a max occupancy of 2 persons. Double-bed rooms have a max occupancy of 4 people.
Yes, we are a family-friendly motel and children are allowed.
No, we are not pet friendly.
All reservations require the primary guest (whom the reservation is booked under) to be a minimum of 18 years of age or older.
A daily amenity fee of $20.00 plus tax is assessed on all reservations. The daily amenity fee covers all of the following amenities offered at our property:
- Beach access at the Southernmost Beach, including chair and towel service for our guests
- Daily continental breakfast
- Concierge services
- High-Speed Wi-Fi
- On-site parking
- Laundry facilities
- Two on-site pools
Once you have selected your room of choice, taxes will be calculated and displayed in the total cost.
When booking your reservation, a credit card is required to guarantee the reservation. A deposit for the total balance of the first night’s charge plus applicable taxes and fees is processed at the time of booking.
Visa, Mastercard, Discover and American Express are all accepted as a method of payment.
The applicable cancellation policy will depend on the dates of travel and reservation type booked. Non-refundable reservations cannot be cancelled without penalty. Flexible reservations can reflect either 14-day standard policies or 30-day cancellation policies if booked under specified Unique Event dates. Please check your confirmation for your applicable cancellation policy.

The most common reason for not getting a confirmation email is typing your email address incorrectly. Therefore, please double check your email address before finalizing your reservation. In some cases, our confirmation email may end up in your "spam folder". If you do not receive an email after you have made a booking, please send an email with your booking number and details to our email.
Check-in begins at 4:00pm. Check-out is at 11:00am.

Yes. A continental breakfast is offered daily and included as part of the daily amenity fee.
Yes, guest parking is available on-site. One vehicle permit is provided per reservation and is included as part of the daily amenity fee. All vehicles parking on-site must be registered or may be towed at the owner’s expense.
Yes. Our Tipsy Rooster Bar Tipsy Rooster Bar & Liquor Store is located adjacent to the motel, offering a great selection of drinks and live music daily.
Yes. Rooster Treats Ice Cream & Donuts provides a wide variety of mini-donuts and soft-serve ice cream from 12 pm-11 pm daily. We also provide a continental breakfast that is included in your daily amenity fee and is offered daily.
We have two pools located on the property. Both are open daily from dawn until dusk.
No. A fitness center is not available onsite.
We do not offer any extra rollaway beds or cots for the rooms.

The nearest beach is the Southernmost Beach, located approximately 2 blocks (0.25 miles) from the motel. Included as part of the daily amenity fee, Southwinds Motel guests receive chair and towel service at the Southernmost Beach. Southwinds Motel is located approximately 3.2 miles from Key West International Airport.
Airport transfers are not available through the motel. Several transportation options are available at the airport, including Uber, Lyft, and taxi service.
