Had a really nice day at this location we will definitely return and stay again!

We had the best stay at Southwinds! Everything was perfect and just what I expected staying in a Old Florida motel. The beds are very comfy and the room was very clean, as were the property grounds. All of the staff we encountered were very nice, helpful, and working hard. The grab and go breakfast was a nice touch and just enough to get our day started. Noseums are HORRIBLE in Key West, so if you're prone to bug bites, be sure to buy mosquito repellent while there. World famous Ana's Cuban cafe is right across the street as well as a little convenient store. Ana's has THE BEST cuban sandwich and coffee. The ice cream and donut truck on site was a nice treat after a long day in the sun. Bar with live music is on site as well, and no, we never heard music from our room. Nor did we ever see any bugs in our room. The water pressure was just fine as well (Lol at some of the other reviews). We had an AMAZING 5 day vacation while there. Thanks Southwinds!

Motel molto carino e tranquillo nonostante la nostra camera era direttamente sulla strada, vicino alla via principale “Duval Street” raggiungibile a piedi, Parcheggio gratis incluso, colazione buona ma non molto fornita (muffin cereali yogurt latte caffè porridge..) Letto molto comodo e doccia grande, al nostro arrivo abbiamo trovato il dispenser dello shampoo rotto perché era caduto a terra, l’abbiamo fatto presente e ci è stato cambiato subito. Alla reception il personale è cordiale e disponibile Consigliato.

We stayed in room 43 for one night. Our room was ready before check-in which was convenient and the room was extremely clean. The only *slight* noise we heard was from a band playing at a nearby bar, but they didn't play late into the night and even so, the A/C fan drowned it out. Two of the three pools were open. We didn't use them, but they looked nice and clean. We didn't realize breakfast was included, so that was a nice surprise- we had yogurt, muffins, bananas and fruit for breakfast. There was a coffee pot and regular and decaf coffee in the room which we appreciated. The water was hot and had good pressure. There were blinds and blackout curtains on the window (I read another review that said it was too bright in the rooms-- we didn't experience this at all). We rented bikes and the sweet woman who checked us in came out to unlock them for us. There was a bit of an issue getting them unlocked because the previous people had put the wrong lock on the wrong bike, so it took a bit of time to sort that out. We were sooo impressed with her commitment to customer service when a pair of iguanas showed up near the bikes- she is extremely afraid of lizards but she was trying so hard to get those bikes unlocked for us even when the iguanas were getting closer and closer. Even when I offered to take the keys and do it myself, she stuck with it haha. Eventually she handed over the keys and I got it figured out, but the the whole scenario was pretty funny and definitely memorable. Many thanks to her for working through her fear to help us!
