I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Rooms were nice and clean. Only problem was the elevators. They didn't work properly most of the time.

nice hotel....old but nicely decorated...very good location....good price in expensive place..helpful stuffs...elevator was very slow..wifi connection was poor...otherwise everything was very good -

I had a great experience here. I specifically chose it because it is close to the theater where Waitress is playing, but I was even more pleased with the proximity to Times Square. The lobby is beautiful with its Art Deco theme. Also, the staff was friendly and accommodating. My flight was delayed by seven hours, so I didn't get to the hotel until 1:30 in the morning. They were helpful when I called to confirm that I was still on my way, and that I would be checking in. I spoke to four different ladies on the housekeeping staff, and they were all so kind. There were no problems with my room, it was small, but quite clean and comfortable. The checkout process was easy, and the doorman offered to help with hailing a taxi, although I had other transportation arranged. I would definitely return. Thank you, Hotel Edison, for making my NYC experience enjoyable.
