I have thoroughly enjoyed staying at Southwinds this past week!!! My husband and I along with our son and his friend came to Key West for the 1st time from West Virginia. We stayed a whole week here. I can’t tell you enough how incredibly WONDERFUL all the people are who work here (Kia or Kya and Cleon especially!!) Housekeeping was on top their game every day. The breakfast was perfect for our family to get our days going. The coffee was sooooo good!! All the front desk girls were so friendly and welcoming every single time I walked through the doors at the lobby. I felt like part of a family after just a couple days here. Don’t let the older vibe of this place scare you. They take such great care of the grounds and the rooms. If it’s old but clean- I’m impressed and thankful! We did have 2 minor mishaps happen while here. I will not be naming what happened because those things could happen anywhere, even our own homes BUT they made both things right RIGHT AWAY, within minutes. The LOCATION IS SPOT ON HERE ALSO!! What a great place to stay and be around everything but enough away from the Duvall noise to enjoy some quiet time too. THANK YOU SOUTHWINDS for making us feel like we were home all week!!! 🤍 We WILL be back. All my love to you!

Don’t listen to the people saying negative things. Here’s an honest review. It’s a groovy old town motel very close to the ocean. Several restaurants for breakfast and open until 11pm including a store with groceries across the street. More privacy than the BnB’s. 2 pools and a large continental breakfast which was very nice. It’s a $7 Uber ride to the furthest end of Duval so you’re a block away from the chaos. The parking is key here. No issues at all even when the hotel was booked. They were super cool with parking our rental scooter from papas in front of my Jeep. Didn’t have to drive our vehicle the entire week. Staff was great and super helpful. Pools are open until 10pm. Pretty quiet motel too. It’s an older property original to the area and was updated a few years ago. You get the Old Key West experience. The SouthernMost landmark is literally around the corner, very very short walk, maybe 3 minutes. There is a cool tiki bar onsite up front by the road with solo musicians everyday. We would leave Duval and head back to finish up our night at the onsite Tiki bar. There’s actually a liquor store next door to the front office as well, the is located at the tiki bar that had an interior area behind the service bar. Outdoor seating on the main road. Our room wasn’t the biggest, but it was clean, Cold AC and we had a blast the entire visit. This is our new little secret hideaway now.

Perfect place to stay. Close to Duval, the beach and quite a few attractions. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Loved the options for breakfast, boiled eggs, yogurt, muffins, danishes and more. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Will definitely stay here again.

Das Motel war echt super, Preis Leistung für Key West noch wirklich gut. Adam von der Rezeption war wirklich toll und sehr freundlich. Das Zimmer war sehr sauber und komfortabel, das Frühstück eher süß gehalten, aber vollkommen ausreichend. Wir würden wieder kommen, wenn wir Key West sind.
