Check in was late ...

Check in was late so our first night was thrown off schedule. Would not be a big deal if the front counter girl could have given us an estimated time. She just kept saying I don't know. Room is tiny and not laid out well. Ice machine on our side of the resort is broken so I had to walk all the way around to get ice(not a short walk) the location is good for everything on the lower end of Duval but you will need transportation to the things on the upper side. It is out of ear shot of the noise on Duval but the on site bar is still pretty rowdy. Which is good and bad depending on your mood. I think I will choose something closer to the middle of Duval next time since the service was sub par here.

Stayed 3 nights.. room ...

Stayed 3 nights.. room king bed was extremely small 10x14 which included bathroom!! HOWEVER .. room & shower were extremely clean..quiet.. comfortable bed and PILLOWS!! A/C did not work properly and maintenance exchanged it immediately! Pool area also very nice.. but small. One shade tree!! Staff was accommodating and helpful.. breakfast was simple.. coffee and great muffins etc.. bicycles and scooters to rent on site which was GREAT ..because .. parking in Key West is a nightmare and very expensive !! Overall.. it was a great stay and we would return to SOUTHWINDS.... !!
