Can't say enough great ...

Can't say enough great things about Southwinds Motel. What a refreshing surprise to check into this motel to find a spotless room, decoratively folded towels, toilet paper, tissue, etc all showing great pride in the place. Hugh compliments to the housekeeping staff. The Front desk was staffed by friendly, helpful, and compassionate people. Great job. The facilities, two pools, ice cream on shop, liquor store, and the best thing ever, the Tipsy Rooster, the bar on grounds. The bartender and nightly entertainment were worth the entire cost of the stay. If I could suggest one thing to change, I would say NOTHING. I'll be back. Thomas

My fiancé and I ...

My fiancé and I were a little nervous booking a motel but this exceeded our expectations! All we wanted when booking was to stay at a place that was in a good location and offered a clean room & bed for a cheap price for Key West. We did not need any frills since it was only 2 of us staying for 1 night. This motel was exactly what we needed and was honestly nicer and more comfortable than we expected. Yes the features are dated, but overall everything was clean and the A/C worked great. No bugs or weird stains. Parking was super easy too. Definitely recommend this place if you need a place to sleep for a day or 2. I wouldn't recommend for longer though as it is a little tight. We booked through Chase Travel so I don't know if that influenced which room they gave us or not.
