Fall in Love With Southwinds By Reading Our Key West Hotel Reviews

The two men I dealt with were great but the woman that was working was rude.

We stayed here on the recommendation from a friend. This is a no frills small motel located in old town on the southern end of the island. The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly and helpful. Cold continental breakfast each morning in the lobby was a plus too. There is 2 pools on the property and neither one of them was ever full when we went. An added bonus is the Tipsy Rooster bar and liquor store is attached to the motel. There was live music everyday starting in the early afternoon. We will definitely be staying at the South Winds on our next trip to Key West.

Pleasant place to stay and it close to the beaches. On the days I went the beaches were littered with seaweeds, causing a awful rotten egg smell. The receptionist told me to head to another beach north of here and it was much better. She also told me about the hidden resort fee that hotels.com fails to mention unless you look for it. She explained to me what it was and I was annoyed by hotels.com for failing on that part. Hotels.com does mention it if you look for the fees which is hidden under policy and fees. The room was small but good for a single visitor. The bed was fine and I slept all night without any issues because the other guest were well mannered. No yelling from anyone or loud cars to speak of from the guests.

Nice small motel. Parking is a bit limited but guests seemed to all fit in provided lot. Nice clean pools, walking distance to beach. One draw back was had to step up into bathroom and a bit cramped once in it. Ours had kitchenette with fridge and microwave, table, chairs and dishes.
